Molten Salt Control Valve

Molten salt control valves are industrial valves specifically designed for high-temperature, high-pressure molten salt media. They are widely used in concentrated solar power (CSP), thermal energy storage, and chemical processing applications. By precisely regulating molten salt flow and pressure, these valves ensure stable process parameters while delivering excellent sealing performance and high-temperature resistance.

The molten salt control valve features a streamlined flow channel design that minimizes flow resistance and optimizes the molten salt flow path. Its inclined valve body design, combined with a hard alloy sealing surface, ensures long-term stable operation under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. The modular design facilitates maintenance, and it is equipped with electric or pneumatic actuators for automated control.

Nominal diameter range: DN20 to DN400

Pressure: PN16 to PN250 (150 lb to 1500 lb)

The operating temperature range is 29°C to 700°C.

Valve body materials are selected based on temperature requirements, such as WCB/A105 for ≤400°C and CF8C/F347 for 400-700°C. Seals utilize high-temperature alloys (e.g., Stellite®) and heat-resistant packing to ensure reliable sealing under extreme conditions.

Solar thermal power generation: Used to regulate the flow and temperature of molten salt, ensuring efficient system operation.

Chemical Industry: Flow control for heating media or reaction media.

Metallurgical industry: Used in processes such as metal smelting and refining.
