Double-Shell Multistage Pump (Drum-Type or Self-Balancing)


The SDP double-shell multistage pump is suitable for petroleum refining, petrochemical, and chemical industries, transporting petroleum, refined oil products, liquefied petroleum gas, light hydrocarbons, and flammable, explosive, toxic high-temperature, high-pressure liquids. It is used in offshore platform water injection projects.
The SDP double-shell multistage pump complies with the American Petroleum Institute API 610, 8th Edition. The casing features either segmented multistage or horizontally split multistage configurations. The inner casing can be extracted for maintenance without displacing piping. The horizontally split design facilitates easier inner casing maintenance; opening the split configuration allows removal of the pump rotor. The rigid rotor incorporates a fixed single-stage impeller, ensuring high reliability and excellent operational precision. Bearings at both pump ends are either rolling or sliding types, lubricated via self-lubrication or forced lubrication. Self-lubricating or forced-lubrication bearings are equipped with necessary auxiliary devices and monitoring systems. Axial forces are absorbed by balancing devices, with residual axial forces handled by thrust ball bearings or thrust bushings. Mechanical seals with self-flushing systems ensure reliable operation under normal temperature and pressure conditions.
